Since opening our doors in 2012, Data Facilities has been at the forefront of delivering high-performance colocation solutions. This new phase of expansion marks an exciting chapter in our journey, allowing us to significantly increase our capacity and enhance our service offerings. The acquisition and subsequent expansion underscore our dedication to not only keeping pace with current demands but also anticipating future needs. 

Expansion Details: A Closer Look at the 3.5 MW Enhancement 

The 3.5 MW expansion will be executed in modular phases over the next 24 months, focusing on enhancing our power effectiveness and sustainability. This approach ensures that we can scale efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of service and infrastructure resilience. The expansion will increase our rack space from 165 to potentially 275 server racks, supporting increased densities of up to 10kW per rack. This capability is critical for supporting modern day computing workloads and mission-critical applications across various industries. 

Strategic Impact: Beyond Capacity Expansion 

This expansion is not merely about adding capacity; it's about significantly boosting our infrastructure's capability to handle high-density configurations that are vital for the next generation of digital services. By enhancing our space density and power capacity, we are better equipped to host advanced applications and services that require robust computing power and high resilience. 

Enhancing Connectivity and Network Capabilities 

A significant aspect of our expansion is the enhancement of our connectivity and network capabilities. We are investing heavily in our data center’s network presence, adding additional diverse points of entry, welcoming new carriers and upgrading our in-house optical transport network which interconnects with 7 other regional data centers in the Rotterdam and Amsterdam metro areas with high-speed connections of up to 400Gbps. . Our network upgrades will facilitate ultra-high-speed connections of up to 400 Gbps between key data centers within the Amsterdam and Rotterdam regions, enhancing our ability to serve as a major connectivity hub.
